As the first Chairman of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), incorporated on March 1st 2006, it is my honour to introduce this new association to service the needs of the Petrochemical Industry.

Headquartered in Dubai, the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association’s main role is to identify, address and manage the common interests of its members by using the association's consolidated resources. We will act as the regional spokesperson in all matters of public interest and general concern to enhance understanding of the Petrochemical industry’s contribution to economic, environmental and social progress among the media, our stakeholders and the community.

Furthermore, the Association is founded on the basis that it will offer its members networking opportunities through various platforms to meet and share knowledge, exchange opinions and experiences, promote free and fair trade and healthy competition and to advocate the development, growth and prosperity of the petrochemicals and chemicals industries and related businesses in the Gulf.

Finally, the GPCA will also focus its attention on the environment, safety, logistics, education, standardization and the promotion of the petrochemicals industry. We will also extend our cooperation to other similar organizations outside the Gulf region. “With the formation of the GPCA, I see the dawn of a new era of cooperation among our members, associated vendors, government bodies and our customers. I welcome you to join us in furthering this agenda to foster free and fair trade and healthy competition for a brighter and more prosperous future for all."
