In yet another initiative to add value to the Petrochemical and Chemical Industry, the Supply Chain Committee of the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association has launched a focused Forum that would address issues pertaining to Supply Chain affecting the Industry.
The GPCA Supply Chain Forum – Current Trends, Preparing for Future Growth is being held in Bahrain from 12th to 14th October 2009.
The forum commences with a one day workshop on the 12th which will discuss the current challenges affecting land transportation as well as explore opportunities that could enhance the current land transportation system in the GCC Region.
The workshop will be followed by a two day intensive conference that will feature specialist from all around the globe addressing key issues pertaining to Supply Chain for the Petrochemical and Chemical Industry in the Region.
One of the Keynote presentations will discuss the current economic crisis and its repercussions affecting the Industry. This will be followed by independent streamline sessions addressing Polymer Handling and Liquid Handling respectively.
The forum is poised to establish itself as a meeting point for Supply Chain Professionals in the Petrochemical and Chemical Industry. Renowned Players in the Petrochemical and Chemical Industries as well as Supply Chain Service Organisations have confirmed their participation at the Forum.
The forum provides a platform for professionals to discuss the current trends and challenges
in Supply Chain with specific focus on the Petrochemical & Chemical Industry in the Middle
East Region.
It would address key issues amongst which one would be impact of the present global crisis
on the supply chain industry particularly in the region.
