Sadara secures certification as Responsible Care company

aSdara Chemical Company (Sadara) has successfully completed an external audit that qualifies it for RC14001:2015 certification as a Responsible Care company.
The audit, conducted by the National Inspection Company (FAHSS), local agent for TUV Nord, was concluded recently in the final stage of the Responsible Care certification process under the umbrella of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA).
Sadara is a signatory and active member of GPCA’s Responsible Care Committee. The company’s preparations for the external audit included an initial internal audit and gap assessment along with extensive staff training for the process.
The Responsible Care certificate merges ISO 14001 standards into the requirements of the Responsible Care Management System (RCMS), creating a single cost-effective system.
Responsible Care is a global, voluntary initiative developed to drive continuous improvement and achieve excellence in environmental, health, safety and security performance in the chemical industry.
Responsible Care is today practiced by more than 580 chemical companies in at least 65 countries around the world.
