The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), the voice of the chemical industry in the Arabian Gulf, is pleased to announce that the GPCA 3rd Process Safety Workshop will take place under the theme ‘Manage Risk, CHANGE It Right and START It Right!’ between 8-9 March 2023 at TASNEE Beach Camp, Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
As the third in a series of workshops organized by the GPCA Gulf Process Safety Network (GPSN), the event will be hosted by one of GPCA’s founding members, TASNEE, and will provide a platform for sharing best practices related to the effective Management Of Change (MOC) and Operational Readiness (OR).
With a carefully developed agenda designed to provide practical insights and knowledge to attendees from across the region, the workshop will cover key topics as part of which regional and international subject matter experts will share their valuable experiences.
The workshop will feature engaging keynote addresses on process safety from industry thought leaders and provide a platform for sharing and learning from real-life regional process safety incidents related to management of change and operational readiness.
Delegates will also benefit from the opportunity to gain knowledge on how to adopt unique and effective practices in implementing as well as monitoring MOC and OR systems. Speakers will present the latest and highly proven MOC and OR IT solutions that can be adopted by firms to effectively mitigate and monitor process safety risk and eliminate incidents.
The workshop is ideally suited for process safety engineers and specialists, process, operations, and projects engineers, executives in operation, maintenance, and technical leadership positions, maintenance engineers, operation and maintenance specialists, EHS&S engineers and specialists, academia specializing in chemical engineering as well as anyone directly involved in process safety management.
By attending the event, delegates will benefit from connecting and networking with regional process safety experts, learning the latest best practice in incidents, investigations, and analysis related to MOC and OR, and gaining better insights into Unique Practices in Management Of Changes and Operational Readiness (OR) systems in the region. Delegates will also enjoy the unique opportunity to discuss their company’s MOC and OR needs with experts in the field and seek the right solutions to meet their challenges in the best way possible.
The GPCA Gulf Process Safety Network (GPSN) was launched during the 4th GPCA Responsible Care Conference in November 2021, with the objective to promote and support process safety excellence in the regional industry via effective and structured knowledge sharing and networking.
Building on these objectives the GPSN delivered two successful workshops in 2022 under the themes of ‘Process Safety Excellence via SMART and VIBRANT Metrics’ and ‘Structured Sharing, Towards Effective Learning’.
