Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fageeh

Abdulrahman Al-Fageeh joined SABIC as Project Engineer more than 35 years ago. He is the acting CEO. Before assuming this position, he served as Executive Vice President Petrochemicals for more than 7 years, overseeing all Petrochemicals business globally.

Mr. Al-Fageeh has held several key leadership posts within SABIC. He served as Executive Vice President for Polymers. He has also held the posts of Executive Vice President, Performance Chemicals; Vice President, Global LL/LD Polyethylene Business; General Manager, Operations & Planning, Basic Chemicals Strategic Business Unit; and General Manager Oxygenates.

He has also held a variety of leadership positions at SABIC affiliates. He was the first President, Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (YANSAB); Chairman of National Methanol Company (IBN SINA); Chairman of Saudi Arabian Methacrylate Company (SAMAC); Chairman of SABIC SK Nexlene Company (SSNC), Chairman of Saudi-Japanese Acrylonitrile Company (SHROUQ) Chairman of Saudi Petrochemical Company (SADAF); Chairman and also served as Board Member Arabian Petrochemical Company (PETROKEMYA); Vice Chairman, Saudi European Petrochemical Company (IBN ZAHR); and Board Member and Marketing Committee Member, Saudi Methanol Company (AR-RAZI).

He also held the prestigious Chairmanship of World Plastics Council (WPC), an NGO, working efficiently to address common issues and works to promote the ethic of sustainability and the responsible use of plastics.

Currently, he is the Chairman of YANPET, KEMYA, GCGV, and Board Member in SABIC Supervisory Board of SABIC Capital B.V.
